Beaches
Sheltered between the cliffs, the sands of Dona Ana beach and its calm clear waters are one of the best known landmarks of the Algarve. The beach can be directly accessed from the pool area and has a good restaurant/bar with toilets and a lifeguard station. Many other beaches are within walking distance and all the usual watersports can be found at the nearby Meia Praia beach.

Lagos
The town itself was once a medieval fishing port and much of the old town is still encompassed by the old city walls. Now a bustling (but not yet spoilt!) tourist centre, the town has bars, restaurants and shops to suit any taste and budget. The modern marina area is well worth a visit and most boat trips and other excursions can be booked from here.

Golf
The Algarve has been a magnet to many discerning golfers for almost 30years. The main golf season is from late autumn until late spring as the winters are very mild and mostly dry ( However it does sometimes rain!). Courses are obviously playable all year round but it can be very hot in mid summer. There are a large number of courses within a short driving distance, the nearest being –
